FW algorithm engineer in the team responsible for Media(NAND) algorithm and reliability. We’re in charge of defining the problem and enhancing the performance and reliability of our company’s media(NAND Solution).
Working on ECC/Defense Algorithm for NAND Solution, and research low-level ML/DL for Read Error Recovery’s next generation. Most of all, mainly working on NAND Algorithm and Interface role for making communication easier for NAND/Solution sites.
Contributed to NAND Reliability, especially for RD(Read Disturb) protection. Authority of SK hynix’s RD protection algorithm. Involved in cSSD/eSSD/UFS/Automotive’s RD policy. Managing SK hynix’s RD defense algorithm guide documents.
Also, working on defense algorithm verification. Made automation tool for algorithm verification with C/C++/Python. With it, we can generate corner-case scenarios of NAND distributions, can check defense algorithm functions automatically.
Spent much time to cooperate and communicate with other engineers. Worked as a contact point of our Bundang Site for NAND/Solution cooperation. Also, since 2022, worked as a contact point of SK hynix/Solidigm. During this period, made new algorithms considering both company’s FW and device characteristics.

I worked as an undergraduate researcher at Kyunghee University for 1 year at the Visual Communication Lab. I played as a main algorithm engineer role for industry-university assignments.
